Dr Bianca Devitt is a medical oncologist with a special interest in the management of breast and lung cancers.
Bianca is graduate of Monash University (MBBS Hons) and completed her speciality training at Geelong Hospital, St Vincent's Hospital and Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre.
At Peter MacCallum, she completed a fellowship examining the clinical significance of specific genetic changes in early stage melanoma.
Bianca is currently completing her PhD which explores patient and health professionals attitudes to multidisciplinary cancer care.
Bianca has a public appointment at Eastern Health and works at both Box Hill and Maroondah hospitals.
She is actively involved in cancer clinical trials as a principle and co-investigator at Eastern Health.
She participates in weekly multidisciplinary team meetings for both her public and private patients that make treatment decisions on the management of breast cancer.
Bianca is involved in the training and examining of medical students and junior medical staff.
Bianca is a member of the Australia & New Zealand Breast Cancer Trials Group, the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the Clinical Oncology Society of Australia and the Medical Oncology Group of Australia.
